amazing (and not so amazing) things i am looking forward to:
- girls' night on friday, at lindsay's. nothing beats the ultra-classy pairing of m&m's and too much wine, with a side of chick flick.
- the weekend. no reason really, except i don't have to work, and may finally force myself to clean this house from top to bottom.
- girls' getaway weekend, february 7/8th. linds and i are taking off to winnipeg for a couple of days. activities will include: sushi dinner, eyebrow threading, an evening activity of some sort (imax? a play?), general girly hangouts, possible massages, and a general escape from our i-hate-living-in-the-middle-of-nowhere lives for a short while.
- my birthday! yes, it's still 3 months (minus one day) away. but i'm more stoked than ever after talking to ben today. he can hook me up with a room at the royal york for a hella good deal ($99/night) and i've 98% decided that i'm going to take him up on it. as much as i'd love to stay ay andrew's, davisville is just so out of the way versus staying downtown and being in the middle of everything. with it being josh's first time in toronto, i would like to show him at least one or two touristy things, and the royal york is so close to everything. we could easily walk to the acc, check out the hockey hall of fame, and hit up the cn tower, all without having to use ttc or lug our suitcases anywhere. we can take the subway (another first for josh) from union to yorkdale and meet my mom there, making her travel that much easier, and giving us all some shopping time. [also, i've wanted to stay at the royal york since i was a kid. it's just always seemed so glam.] |
