you guys, JOSH GOT A JOB! yes!!! my man is once again gainfully employed. josh's not working isn't something that i've really discussed, for a few reasons, mainly that it's not anything to be proud of, and i didn't need anyone thinking i was some sugar mama with a lay-about boyfriend who spent his days [months!] playing video games and sponging. his not working has caused tension in our realtionship, due to emotional and financial frustrations, and as much as i've tried to sweep them under the rug and put on a brave face, they've certainly been present. but now? now he's got a job!
it may not be his life's calling, but it's a job, and it we're both stoked about it. he's working for a catering company/cafe, doing office-type work like taking orders, responding to emails, working on promotional material. it'll be a monday to friday gig [which is amazing!] and his first shift is monday. and his boss is okay with his trip to newfoundland. we were so afraid that that was going to be a deal-breaker, but it's not. first the guy suggested hiring josh and starting him after his vacation, but josh was pro-active and suggested that he start next week and get a few things under his belt before taking off for 2 weeks.
i am so so happy right now. i really, really hope that this works out!
