today was great.
josh and i went downtown, and started shopping for his attire for the wedding. we had discussed and more or less decided on a look already, and thankfully we had more or less the same idea, so there's really no compromise. he tried on linen pants, and a couple of shirts. we bought the pants today, but left the shirts. we can always get the colour family we're going with at le chateau, so we're waiting till his best man visits in august to buy a shirt. essentially the men will both wear light bottoms and shirts in the same teal-ish colour family, with josh likely wearing long sleeves (rolled up) and jeff wearing short sleeves. we think...
while at le chateau i caved and bought the shoes i've been coveting for a month or so now. i still wanted them as badly as i did when i first saw them, and i haven't bought fun shoes in a while, so i went for it. they're pewter sparkly platform peeptoes. i'm in love with them. here's a visual of my disco shoes:

they will look killer with my teal dress. or with anything really. i was wearing them with my new jeans today, and they make my legs look all long and sexy. so great. truly.
after we'd shopped, we went to see transformers 3 in 3d. it was pretty good, and the 3d was done pretty well. josh and i saw the first transformers movie on our first date, 4 years ago last week, so it was a cute little bit of tradition.
now we're home, just chilling. as usual, i do not want to go to work tomorrow morning, but it's not as bad as it used to be. a new girl started last week, named melanie, and she's nice. she's younger than i am by a couple of years, and a little rough around the edges, but generally my kind of people. it makes going in to work so much better when you like the people you work with. |
