so. i had my interview. i knew right away that they wanted to hire me. it was one of those "interviews" where they tell you what they want, and ask when you could start. still, after the "omg they want to hire me" wore off, my gut was telling me it maybe wasn't the right opportunity for me. there were red flags (yes, plural) at the interview, and despite having nearly 2 dozen clinics in the province, i haven't yet found anyone in my network of xray techs who have heard positive things about this clinic/owner. they finally called my references this week, and just today sent me a tentative offer. i'm going to sit on it, for now. i figure if it took them weeks to get in touch with me, then weeks more to interview and offer, i can make them wait a few days.
meanwhile, josh's criminal record check came back (clean, of course) and he filled out the necessary paperwork and sent it to hr. no idea how long it will take them to vet him (hopefully not long!) and get back with an official offer.
we're going up to my parents' this weekend, and will take a trip up to owen sound on saturday afternoon. i want to show josh our potential new city, his store, and do a few drive-bys of houses for sale. of course, we're not buying a house yet (holy cart before the horse!) but it's nice to know what's out there. i've been looking online, just for shits, and found a place that looks cute, hits everything on our "must have" list, and would be within our budget.
i've also applied to a part time posting about half an hour from owen sound. of course it would be entirely too perfect to be hired, so i'm not even expecting an interview, but a girl can dream, right? (dream, and flood a place with applications until they hire her).
