a week since i've written. oops.
last saturday was WONDERFUL! 100% fantastic. the food was really yum, i was exactly the right amount of drunk, and everyone got along smashingly. absolutely no complaints.
last sunday i went to wonderland with lauren and ryan. i hadn't been since high school, and i had a great time. i was so thankful that i wasn't hung over from the night before. it was pre-season and the weather was sketchy [cool, cloudy] so there were no lineups for anything. we walked on to the bat, and waited no more than 10 minutes for anything else.
monday and tuesday were meh. just the usual. wednesday lauren and i went to the red sox/jays game. it was a boring game, but we had 31 cent baskin robbins scoops beforehand and i wore my cute blue sequined flats, so it wasn't a total loss. that, and i really love spending time with my taco sista, obviously.
thursday was josh's turn for baseball. he went to the dome for a's/jays with the boys, and the result was this little situation which was aired nationwide on sportsnet all night, and the next day, and is now hosted on the jays' website. too funny.
friday was lauren's birthday, so in the early evening i headed to guelph. she hosted a get-together at her mom's place, and it was a good time. her family is so sweet, and her friends are hilarious. i didn't feel like drinking, so i decided to drive home that night, as opposed to sleeping over only to get up early to get back to toronto in time to meet my mom.
yesterday my mom came down in the early afternoon. we hung out for a while, then got ready for the evening out. mom drove us downtown and we [mom, josh, and i] had dinner [shared apps] at joe mamas, then walked back to the princess of wales theatre for mamma mia! w00t! it was excellent. a wonderful show [as always] and fun times all around. a great birthday present, for sure.
today mom, josh, and i did some shopping. i didn't really intend to buy anything, but came home with new skate shoes, flip flops, about 7 tops, and a sweet hot pink belt. i'm making a conscious effort to buy a few things beyond jeans and t-shirts. don't get me wrong, i'm a casual, thrown-together sort of girl, but i need to mix it up a little.
josh and i just decided that we're ordering sushi for dinner. this excites me greatly.
