my weekend was too short.
we didn't do anything extraordinary, but as always it was nice just not to be working.
saturday afternoon joshua and i went over to michelle's place, and the three of us went to vaughan/thornhill for sushi.
the place we went is called hockey sushi.
yes, hockey sushi.
it was all you can eat, and it was yum.

i'm likely a little biased, but i maintain that bikkuri ["my place" in the east end] is still the best ayce sushi in the gta. that said, i thoroughly enjoyed my meal at hockey sushi. huge selection and small orders would make it a great place for someone to try japanese food for the first time, or for people with different tastes, like when i go for sushi with a vegetarian friend.
i absolutely wish that kelly or kayla lived close to me. among other reasons, they would be game for sushi dates as often as my raw-fish fiending self could handle.
yesterday was lazy. i love lazy sundays. too bad they always lead to monday mornings. fuck mondays. |
