you guys! i just bought a car! a 2011 kia sportage, in vintage blue. i am SOOOOO excited!
i've never owned a new car. outside of college, i've never made this sort of financial commitment before. and she's mine. all mine. well, she will be when she arrives in a week or so. i've already named her: mia!
i'll be sad to part with carmen, but was glad to get $1500 on a trade-in for her. we also get a 3 day/2 night trip to vegas from the dealership. w00t! josh has been wanting to go to vegas for a while, and for $250 [we pay the taxes], we get to spend a weekend there. hell yes!
i also added larger rims and tires, like a boss. the model i wanted comes standard with 17" wheels, but there are none available in the whole country in the colour i wanted. i was ready to walk, when they suggested going a model down [16" wheels] then putting larger wheels on, and it would still cost less than my original quote. i figured if we were buying bigger wheels, i'd go big or go home. so i'll be rolling on 18's. i'm so gangster.
gah, i'm just so so so so so excited right now!
