i cannot wait for christmas! all of my presents are wrapped and under the tree. i've had my mom's gift for a while, and josh's too - everything else was purchased this weekend. i'm really happy with what i'm giving everyone, especially my sister's nail studio and makeup stuff.
between josh working so many retail hours, and the fact that no snow made getting psyched for christmas a little harder this year, my man-love left his shopping till the last minute. that meant that he did nearly all of his shopping on sunday, when we were at the mall together. pro: i know i'll love my gifts, because i picked them out. con: no surprise on christmas morning. oh well, i appreciate him so much, and love that he just wants to make me happy. (also love that i'll finally get the train case i've been lusting after, and can put all of my makeup in one place.)
i cannot wait to go to andrew's on thursday, to play cards like old people. i'm going to take the gift we got caitlin, and andrew's too. i'm pretty proud of myself with his gift. i got him a nice new bamboo cutting board, cheese knives, some delicious crackers, brie, boursin, jalapeno havarti (his favourite), and 2 year aged white cheddar. i bought some star-covered cello wrap today, to bundle it up all pretty. i know he'll love it.
work is so slow right now, and i can't wait for the week to be over. i just want it to be christmas eve, so we can head up to see my family, and spend a little time out of the city. it will be a short trip, but at least we'll get to see everyone, if only for a day. |
