i went to a party last night. andrew's birthday party. i wasn't super keen on going, but he's my best friend, so of course i was going to go. it's funny, because part of why i was going was because i'd be pissed if i had a birthday party and he didn't come, but if i hadn't gone to his he likely wouldn't have been upset at all. anyway, i went. and it was fantastic!
i haven't had a night out like that in a while. just a cool party. lots of people, some i knew, some i didn't. some i talked to, some i didn't. i drank for the first time in a while. juicewine. too good. i felt great last night, and i feel good this morning, so it's all gravy.
i was having a crisis with my makeup. i put it on three times. haha. first time, i started and went a little overboard with stella [black with sparkles] so i took it off and started over. second time, i got stella on, added goldilux [the best gold shadow EVER] and something about it wasn't doing it for me. so the third time i decided at the last minute to mix it up. stella and magentric [shimmery magenta with turquoise sparkle], highlighted with lumi [irridescent white/blue/green/perfect]. i still wasn't 100% happy, but i was done fucking around and it was time to go. we got to the party and 3 people, independent from one another told me how great my makeup looked. i felt so hot! i mean, it's always great when people compliment you, but when it's those people? those people being boys who never seem to observe anything? oh yeah. so hot. andrew told me it looked "sexy and mysterious". good times.
anyway, so i drank too much wine, hung out with friends, met the girl matt is seeing and the girl andrew's into [approve of both], ate some candy, dj'ed some music, talked to some people from andrew's program, and was generally charming - or so i like to believe.
i flirted with andrew's roommate zach a bunch, which was strange. i mean, it was all in good fun and not going anywhere, but it was still something i wouldn't normally do. he's really attractive, but hard to read, so i normally keep my distance, and reserve my cuddles for matt and andrew. last night? i was literally eating out of zach's hand. and i may have jersey turnpiked him? twice? haha.
josh and i left just after 1 so we could catch the subway home. we stopped on the way to the station and i got a slice of pizza. then i got a junior chicken sandwich at mcdonald's at the station. so terrible, but so good. by the time we caught the train then walked home, it was 2:15ish and i was so ready to sleep. bed felt the best. |
