i applied for that job yesterday. i feel... calm about it. like, i wasn't all butterflies and vomit when i sent it. i'm a little nervous now, but it's not all-consuming. i'm not sure if that's a good sign, and the time is right, or a bad sign in that i'm just sure i'll be disappointed. either way, i should know in a few days if they want an interview. [oh god i hope they want an interview!]
my weekend was good. saturday, i met lindsay downtown for lunch [brunch? we both had eggs bennie] and some bra shopping. it was nice to see her; it had been years. i always forget how absolutely adorable her voice is. seriously, it's so cute. i ended up buying a bra in which i likely should have gone up a size, but it was a $50 bra on sale for $12, and the only one they had, so i bought it. the result is totally j woww calibre tits, and will be showcased at matt's birthday party this weekend.
saturday evening, i picked joshua up from work drove to michelle's place in etobicoke, jumped in her car and drove to mississauga for dinner. specifically, dinner at ben thanh's. worth it? entirely! the pad thai was perfect, and it seems that with every location that ben thanh's opens, they up the level of decor. i loved the restaurant. not worth going on the regular, but for for special occasions, or mega-cravings when i can't get to london, it may be revisited.
yesterday, josh and i went to the bay and bought a bunch of bed stuff from our registry with gift cards. new duvet - ah-mazing. or, so it seems. i'm not putting it on the bed until our room is painted this weekend. but it's so soft and pretty and we loved it when we picked it out. after the bay we went to the movies to see goon. it was actually quite hilarious. a great canadian/hockey film, and i love jay baruchel till the end of time for being such a patriotic dude.
it is currently 9 degrees outside. i want to be playing baseball so badly. i'm pretty sure i'm going to buy a glove in the next few weeks. my old mitt got lost or thrown away in one of my or my parents' many moves, and i still haven't replaced it. i'm so excited for spring. |
