happy hallowe'en, y'all.
i had a great weekend. friday night josh and i had a "date night". we stopped by old navy, so i could buy the coat i've been coveting for weeks, plus another that caught my eye (both were on sale). we went to see the social network, where i spent the majority of the film imagining myself making out with andrew garfield. afterward, we grabbed gyros and brought them home for om nom nom. low-key, but fun.
i had mega sleepins yesterday, followed by a big bunch of nothing. we ran a few errands (lbco, bank, lunch) then i kicked it for a while while joshua got ready to play ball hockey. he headed over to zuber's for that, and i chilled. it was lovely. got ready at my own pace, did gorgeous makeup, packed up my stuff, and i headed got there around 6. really fun party. i drank enough to be having a good time, but not so much that i wasn't feeling well, or made an ass of myself. there were enough people to make it interesting, but not so many that it was hard to navigate, or too hot, or that you couldn't be heard.
there were essentially two factions: andrew's classmates, and everyone else (high school/college friends/outside of school friends). i met meredith, the girl andrew's been into for a few weeks/months. we've been mutually following/conversing with each other on twitter for months, as well. of course we hit it off, as she's totally awesome, and dare i say, a lot like me (if i were a blonde bombshell, of course). much to andrew's chagrin (i'm sure), we have a date to see burlsque, which is going to be hilaribad.
it was a relatively early night, with us leaving sometime after 12 and making it home at 1. i didn't feel bad bailing early, as i'd been there since 6, and i was happy to take off before all of zube's former coworkers showed up, post-1am shift. i had a great time, saw some wonderful people, and loved every minute i was there.
i slept in again today, tho only till 10, which isn't that amazing when you go to bed at 3am. still, i felt amazing (no hangover!), and was happy to lie in bed for an hour. i have the comfiest bed, and the sexiest finacé, and i'd shaved my legs last night and changed the sheets, and it was just ultimate bliss.
today we went out for all you can eat sushi for lunch. it was a totally spontaneous decision, and entirely worthwhile. it seems that word is getting out about our favourite sushi place. every time we go, it's busier. it's not a big place, but nearly every seat was full today (as opposed to being the only party there the first time we went). after sushi we got groceries, then vegged for a few hours, had awesome out-of-nowhere sex, and now we're settled in to our sunday night tv routine.
all in all, an excellent weekend. |
