i don't have much to say, guys. my life is pretty boring, but mostly cute because i look after sophie all day. i feel like i'm babying her (to a degree, i know that i am) so i'm trying to make a point of putting her in her crate and going out more. she has to know that i can come and go as i please, she's not the boss.
my car died briefly in the mega cold snap we had last week. i thought my battery was done, but when it warmed up saturday, the car struggled for a moment, then started. i let it run for a few minutes to charge the battery, and since then, it has been perfect. my brother (aka super car guy and my go-to with all things auto-related) came up yesterday to take a look, and possibly replace the battery, and even he was confused as to why it was dead and then not. it's possible that my fuel line froze up, so i'm just going to put some fuel line antifreeze in it, make a point of running it more if it gets really cold again (it sat in the garage, untouched for 4 days in -20 temps), and just hope for the best.
i'm trying to figure out when we can head down to visit my family, and introduce sophie to alex and kristen's dog, and my parents' dog. i'm super excited for her to meet brooks, he's great with every dog ever and i am excited to let her play and run around with a dog that i trust. dora is sometimes okay with other dogs, and sometimes not, so i'm trying to keep an open mind, because i know that dogs sense their owner's anxiety about such things. worst case scenario, dora gets locked in her room while we visit. alex's birthday is the 16th, and josh's and kristen's is the 20th, so mom is hoping to have everyone together for a big joint birthday dinner. i hope we can go this weekend, it just depends if joshua decides to go to toronto or not.
and now, for what you're all here for: puppy spam! [sorry not sorry for cross-posting]
