in an effort to write more, i think i'm going to end up saying less. maybe not. i don't know. it's not like i have a history of writing profound art all up in this shit. i do want to get back to writing in bloop tho, as opposed to just trolling for things to read, and disappointedly and hypocritically saying that no one ever writes anymore.
in my read-only bloop adventures of late, i've come across quite a few of these nomojo entries. there's one prompt that strikes me as... odd. i mean, i understand the concept, but the wording has me baffled. "electricity is a recent discovery, think of 12 things to do with no power". obviously the point is to come up with 12 activities that do not rely on electrical power, but what is with the first part of that sentence? if electricity was a recent discovery, wouldn't everyone be clamoring to check it out? i'd be all up in that business, and doing 12 things that only require electricity. is the question meant to imply that i can't get electricity yet? or that i can't afford it? something along those lines? i really don't know. i think the prompt would have read far better if it just said "electricity doesn't exist, think of 12 things to do without power". who cares where it went, or if it has yet to come into being, or whatever, it just doesn't exist.
by the way, if coming up with 12 things to do with the power out is hard for you, you have serious issues in your life.
also, i realize i've given this entirely too much thought. but it's the little things, y'know? |
