previous entry: here i go again on my own.

we're running this town just like a club.

04/25/2011

this morning, without any strain, i buckled my belt on a tighter hole.
then i chub-rubbed through the inner thigh of my jeans, which totally sucked. i knew it was coming. it was obvious that they'd been wearing thin. still, what an embarassing downer.
i went for a belated birthday lunch at my “base clinic” today. it was the first time i'd been there in a month, and 2 co-workers, separately and unprovoked, commented that I looked great, asked if i'd lost weight, etc. it felt really good. that my weight loss is becoming noticeable is thrilling. their reactions were very encouraging.

"Chub-rubbed" - I like it. I'm using that term from now on because it happens to me quite often!

That's fantastic about the compliments you are getting!

chub rubbed? I've never heard that term before but i've definitely done that to a series of jeans before and it sucks.

I def chub-rubbed through my fave jeans. I patched them and keep wearing them haha.

Congratulations on the weight loss. I don't have enough will power to even get my lazy ass to the gym!

New jeans!

ha!
valid.
actually, i have a pair or two in my closet that i bought with delusion, or hope, or just because i cannot resist a crazy deal, that i'm hoping to fit into soon. so, win-win. "new" jeans for my new, slightly-slimmer body... soon.

not "slightly slimmer", "much healthier". You're cleaning out that pretty body!

true, i am.
however, it's the skinny part that gets new jeans.
healthy is great (and i really do feel fantastic!!), but slimmer is what necessitates new clothes - at the very least a belt.

Hooray one less belt loop! It's a great feeling. Shawn's been begging me to buy new jeans, because I have to wear leggings or tights under all of mine where they've ripped from the inner thigh all the way across the back. But I refuse... because I know I am going to keep losing weight and I have smaller jeans that I just don't fit into, yet.

Even more awesome that people noticed! That happened to me for the first time in Florida. Go us!

RYC: I haven't yet, but I'm looking now!

ryc: I think it's really common amongst health professionals. We HATE being on the other side! I know a few doctors and nurses who get it.

i'm definitely guilty of chub-rubbing through a pair of jeans, they were my favorite too!
