i filed my tax return this morning. i ought to be getting back just upwards of $1000. very awesome. it'll go right into the wedding fund. josh is getting a refund of $300ish, so that's good too.
i hope that when they call be about my new car tomorrow, they say it'll be ready this week. i'd love to drive to london in it next weekend.
i took out all the recycling today. there was more there than i'd like to admit. it included about 30 magazines that i finally decided i would never look at again. i always have trouble throwing away magazines. i think they're too much like books, so there's a slight guilt about throwing them out. so yes, 2 trips down to the blue bins, and i took out the garbage too. not a big deal, particularly, but i like to feel like i accomplished something. i also sorted thru a ton of mail/bills for recycling/shredding/filing. like a motherfucking adult.
this week's must-do: finally take my goodwill clothes to a donation centre. they've been sitting, bagged, in the corner of my room for literally months. now that i know where the nearest drop-off is, i really have no excuse, beyond laziness. i've made sarah [and i guess, anyone reading this] my witness that this WILL be done by week's end.
i also need to finish addressing the few wedding invitations that remain. in my defense, they're all from josh's side of the guestlist, so it's on him to get me addresses. we'll be seeing ben in london next weekend, and i'll give him his invitation in person, then all of "my side" is done.
