sweet, little sister kelly.
kelly, who is adorable and darling, and who holds her own with my friends - no small feat.
she's sleeping on the couch right now, sprawled across an also-sleeping justin's lap, and it's so cute. it reminds me of family, and college friends, and all these comfortable nostalgic things.
we haven't even made it to wild wing yet, or all you can eat sushi, or eclipse. but we have detoured around swanky rosedale, and planned to open a cafe, and talked about boys [and penises, and loyalties, and hookups].
it's canada day, and it's gorgeous out. we'll go downtown, and i mustn't forget my camera. i've yet to take a picture of this sister union, and that's terrible. tonight there will be fireworks, which are always my favourite. i'm sure that there will also be stories, and jokes, and "omg kelly you're so young"s, which i never mean in a condescending way. i'm actually awed that at 19, she's so mature, but so innocent-seeming, and we're able to connect.
i'm going to watch some more food network, and let everyone sleep their little angel-sleeps, until we head for chicken wing visits with manitoba friends. it's a great day. |
