the bridal shower was meh, as these things always are when you're not close with the bride. i did manage to win a prize tho, which was great because it included awesome handsoap that i've been meaning to buy for the kitchen.
dinner at my dad's last night was wonderful. my brothers are some of the most interesting, ridiculous, hilarious humans i know. my sister is growing up and it's amazing/terrifying to see her as a 14 year old high-schooler. we played wii with my dad and had a great time. yippee.
since everyone wanted to see the sweater i bought the other day, here's a snap [please ignore the stupid look on my face/my hair/the apparent orange colour behind me... i'm not sure why the flash/lighting made my mom's living room look like it's pumpkin-coloured?]


mom and i did the turkey prep thing early this afternoon. it's my favourite part of thankgiving dinner: making/tasting the dressing, helping mom stuff and truss the turkey, buttering it up. my mom and i make a killer turkey! i'm also quite excited for the soup that will come afterwards.
here are the lemon tarts and the lemon/raspberry dessert that i made for our thanksgiving dinner tonight:

The first five minutes I was in there, I was dying. But after that, I couldn't even tell. But then we left, and the smell came with me and I got a big headache. I wonder if I could get used to that or not?
I hadn't ever heard of it before, though! I peed myself once we walked in. I'm tempted to put on the mask now and take a picture of my green face. Haha.
