Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector

08/13/2010

Product: Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector
Cost: $49.50
Rating: 4 Stars

As some of you may know I used to have really bad acne. Thanks to Clinique my acne is gone, but I still have discoloration. Back in May I decided to try the Dark Spot Corrector, because I had seen it advertised so heavily on TV.

You're supposed to use the product twice a day for 12 weeks. My first problem with the product relates to this. My bottle did not last for 12 weeks. It lasted for 9. I followed the instructions exactly as they were given to me and actually missed a day or two, so it should have lasted me longer than it did.

What Clinique promises is that you will see results in 4 weeks and in 12 you will "see a visible reduction in dark spots, age spots, and traces of acne past." I definitely saw a difference. My dark spots have reduced a bit, but they're also definitely still there. I think I would need to go through the process one more time to have near flawless skin. I'm considering doing that, because my skin is very important to me.

The only other thing that dissapointed me was what happened to my skin every now and then while using the product. It's a gel like consistency and I would apply it right before my moisturizer. The combination of the two made my skin feel like it had a thin film on it and if I rubbed it the film would come off. It was very strange and I did not enjoy it. This didn't happen every time I used it, but it happened every now and then.

All in all I would say if you can afford it and your dark spots really bother you, try it! The results you will see are worth it. I feel extremely comfortable wearing only a tinted moisturizer and not a foundation because of this product. It is pricy, but it's a lot cheaper than going to the dermatologist and having a laser treatment or whatever else they would recommend.
