June/July Favorites

08/03/2010

Hey everyone! I'm so sorry I've been slacking lately! I have so many ideas I just haven't had the time to come on here. I'm currently working two jobs and taking two summer classes, so my time is pretty much taken up with all of that. I love this diary, though, so I'm definitely going to try and do better this month.

Now onto my June/July favorites!

1. LUSH's Bubblegum Lip Scrub

You can very easily make your own lip scrub that works just as well as the ones from LUSH. However, I am far too lazy to make one every day or so. It’s much more convenient to use LUSH’s. Bubblegum also tastes AMAZING! It smells and tastes just like Snow Fairy (at least I would assume it tastes like Snow Fairy...I never actually tasted it before. lol).

2. Clinique Moisture Sheer Tint

This tinted moisturizer from Clinique is fabulous! It gives a light coverage that evens out your skin tone. It’s not heavy at all and it won’t melt right off your face in the heat.

3. Covergirl's Lash Blast Fusion

This is the best version of LashBlast that Cover Girl has come out with! It lengthens AND volumizes! I bought this in Black Brown, so it’s not entirely black, which makes my lashes look even better!

4. Turkish Delight by NARS

NARS lip glosses are somewhat expensive. They’re $24 each. However, this one, as far as I’m concerned, is totally worth it. It’s a gorgeous light pink without shimmer or glitter. The only downside is that you can easily apply too much and look silly, so be careful.

5. Clearly Pink by Clinique

It looks bright pink in the tube, but it’s called CLEARLY Pink for a reason. It has a bit of glitter to it, but it’s very subtle.

6. EOS Lip balm

You all know how I feel about this lip balm (and if you don't go check out my review of it!). The reason this made my favorites, despite the fact that I’m not entirely crazy about it, is that it smells and tastes amazing. I used it a lot in July, because I was seeing someone and wanted yummy tasting lips.

7. Soap

I’ve never been a soap king of girl, but this month I’ve fallen in love with them! I have 5 at the moment. There are three from LUSH and two from a local company. The ones from the local company are Caribbean Fruit (super fruity- think pineapple and mango) and White Tea and Ginger (you can definitely smell the tea. It’s also somewhat floral). The three from LUSH are Rockstar (smells exactly like Creamy Candy Bubble Bar – like Swedish Fish!), Pineapple Grunt (a super subtle and soft pineapple scent) and Chox Away (this was a sample in my latest order. It smells like minty chocolate). The LUSH soaps don’t lather a lot unlike the local company, but the have more fun scents.

8. Ed Hardy Hearts and Daggers

This perfume smells quite citrusy and girly, but not too floral. It’s a great summer scent, but can definitely work in the fall as well.

9. Candles

Just like with soaps, I’ve never really cared for candles. I’m somewhat afraid of fire, to be honest. However, I went to Bath & Body Works and got Midnight Pomegranate and Twilight Woods, because they smell SO good! I’ve been burning them a lot this month and I love how amazing they make my room smell.

10. NorthFace jacket

I’ve been wanting a NorthFace jacket literally ALL year! My mom bought me a white and grey one for my birthday. Even though I can’t wear it yet I am in love with it!!!!

11. Yoga

I’m taking a Yoga class right now and it’s so relaxing and leaves me feeling amazing. It’s not the kind of thing you can do by itself and lose weight, but if you change your eating habits and do cardio along with it you can definitely lose some weight.
