I have heard SO many things about this foundation. Some people are absolutely in love with it while others hate it. Personally, I think it's a great every day foundation.
I purchased this foundation a while ago and didn't really care for it at first. I didn't like the coverage, the consistency or the shimmer (yes, it really does have a little bit of sparkly-ness to it). Over time, though, my opinion has changed.
As for the coverage- it is on the light side. It is, however, buildable. Also, with the right concealer you can cover up any blemish you might have. I have some hyperpigmentation left from my acne and you can't even see it when I use PhotoReady and Mac's Studio Finish concealer.
The consistency is a quite runny. Like I mentioned before, this bothered me at first because before I bought it I had been using more of a cream foundation. Now that I've used PhotoReady more often I've gotten used to the consistency. In fact, I like it a lot, because it makes it easy to blend.
The shimmer still bothers me a tiny bit, but it truly isn't terribly noticeable. No one has come up to me and said, "Hey, why do you have glitter on your face?!" lol The finish is actually quite nice.
Another thing I absolutely adore about PhotoReady is the packagine. I love that it has a pump!! Not many drugstore foundations do and I really like being able to control how much product I use. Wasting makeup is one of my biggest pet peeves.
If you're looking for a light coverage foundation I definitely reccomend Revlon PhotoReady. |
