This is it. The day we've all been waiting for. Corri goes into rehab at 9:00am. I'm excited for her and ready for this to happen. It's not that I want her gone, because I don't, but I do want my sister back, even though I know she's going to be a whole different sister than the one I knew pre-alcohol, and different than the sister I know now with alcohol. I'm ready to meet the woman she's destined to become without it. I've been praying for her to make it through rehab this time and to make this change in her life, but God's will be done with her. I know God's been listening, so I pray that her heart will be open to the changes that are about to come her way.

I'm going to miss her being here and having someone around during the day that I can talk to and share things with, but she'll be back after about three months. Still, it's going to be a change for me and a bit of a culture shock to have her suddenly gone from the house. Once again I'm going to have to deal with the loneliness of having her gone and Al at work all the time. I know I'll manage, but I'm going to hate it. I really need to find a job or something to do with my time.

Yesterday was kind of an odd day. We didn't make it to church and I know we could've gone to the later Mass. Once again my priorities were screwed as I put football before God. I didn't want to miss kick-off, which is why we didn't go to the 11:00am Mass. I really need to get myself straight again. God comes before anything and everything else in my life. Why do I keep letting him fall to the wayside when there's something else I want to do?

Anyway, Al fell asleep shortly after the game started and managed to sleep through the whole thing, in spite of my clapping and cheering and yelling at the television. We won the game against the Vikings, decisively even, it wasn't even a close game. The Bears played some of their best football yesterday. The victory felt wonderful, but it kind of lost some of its oompf because I had no one to share it with. He woke up after the game was over and the first thing he said was, "How much did you lose by?" "We won." "Oh." Talk about letting the air out of my tires.

Then I got a message from Corri saying that Jason was being a jerk and refused to drive her home, so would I come pick her up. Well what was I supposed to do? Leave her there? We went and picked her up and then drove to Mom's to pick up the sweaters my cousin Jan found for her. Afterward, the three of us went grocery shopping. We didn't get back home until almost 8pm and we still had to eat dinner and that didn't happen until nearly 10pm.

Anyway, that was how the day went yesterday.

This entry is going to be kind of short because I have to go have some breakfast and then jump in the shower to get ready. Busy morning ahead.

Have a wonderful day.

I realize that you are more religious than I am.. But I think it will be okay if you enjoy yourself from time to time.

Strangely funny how your C is leaving for Rehap today while mine is waking up in a new inverment as well. I'm glad that Corri got in.

I hope rehab goes well for Corri. This has been a long time coming. I wish her well. I think God likes football too.
