Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. There is much in life to be thankful for, regardless of how good or bad life seems to be at the present moment. The sheer fact of being alive is a reason to give thanks. Family and friends, whether they are mere acquaintances or people who have become like family, are yet another reason to give thanks. I could go on and on with a list of reasons to be thankful, but I'll leave it at that. You get the idea.
My new Gravity T phone with the touch screen came in the mail the day before yesterday, so bright and early yesterday morning, I was dressed and off to the mall to have the nice people at T-Mobile synch my phone so I didn't lose my contact list. Unfortunately, it synched up with my old contact list so I lost a good number of phone numbers and addresses. I'm going to have to readd all those people manually. It's going to be a pain in the ass.
Speaking of pains in the ass, as I was leaving the T-Mobile kiosk, I started getting shakey and panicky. I stopped at McDonald's to get something to eat, but it wasn't my blood sugar. It was a full-blown panic attack. I took a tranquilizer and slept for a while, but every little sound sent me jumping out of my skin, and I alternated between sobbing hysterically and praying for some relief. Eventually the relief came, somewhere around 6:00pm and I was okay for the rest of the night. I went to bed early last night, so the rest of my night was pretty short.
Got up around 4:30am and caught up on my Facebook games. That Thanksgiving quest on Frontierville was a pain in the butt. I couldn't send or receive RSVPs, so I contacted Zynga, the game maker, and they fixed it so all my RSVPs were collected and I was able to finish the quest. Thank heavens.
Went back to bed at 6:00am and slept until 8:00am. Then got up, had some coffee and played a little trivia before jumping in the shower and getting dressed to head for Mom's. We're not supposed to be there until 1:00, but Al is going to make us late. He is putzing around this morning and I still have to put my makeup on and stick in my contacts. I never wear makeup unless it's for a holiday or some special occasion.
I'm antsy to get going today. I don't want to miss any of the football games.
I hope each and every one of you have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving. Remember to take stock of your blessings and give thanks.
