So yeah, Thanksgiving pretty much sucked for me, but yesterday was just an all-around blah day, too. For one thing, I couldn't get that sucky Thanksgiving out of my head. I know I didn't do anything wrong and Mom and Dad were at fault here by opening the door to Corri's legal issues, but still, I felt awful about the whole thing. Yesterday Dad called and I couldn't get to the phone fast enough so it went to voicemail, and he apologized for going off on me like that, but I still have bad feelings about the whole mess. I'll forgive him, because I always do, but right now it's just not in me to call him and say so.

My mom told me, on Thanksgiving, that Bob and Cheryl are going to be in town for Christmas this year, which originally they had not intended to be. So now we're not only going to have to go over there for Christmas like we always do, this means we're going to have to spend money to buy Christmas gifts because I'm not going to do another Christmas where we sit there and don't give anyone anything. It would've been fine if it had been just the four of us because Mom & Dad would understand the lack of money, but my brother and I have already had a money discussion about my lack of it, and I don't want to have to deal with that again. So this kind of pisses me off. I guess we'll find some little things to buy or something.

Those claws of Shiloh's have GOT to go soon. REALLY soon. We've managed to nip the toilet paper issue in the bud by not putting the toilet paper on the spindle anymore so he can't unroll it all. It now sits in the wooden toilet paper holder where we keep the extra rolls. This way we can keep the bathroom door open and we don't have to worry about the towels not drying or mildew on the walls. But now, Shiloh has decided to not only scratch at the wall beneath the window, and has removed the paint in a particular area, I've walked into the bathroom to find him hanging from the bathroom curtains! He likes to look out the window and the bottom of the window is frosted glass, so he can't see outside, so Little Lucifer climbs the curtains and hangs from them and the curtain rod so he can peer out the top, which is just regular glass. I've had to retrieve him several times from his monkey position. And he just meows at me like, "What did I do wrong?" One of these days I'll get a picture of him doing it, but I haven't quite figured out all the features on my new phone yet.

Shiloh thinks he's a lot bigger than he is. He's gotten bigger since the last pictures I posted of him, and I'll have to take some more soon, but he goes after Snarf and Jericho constantly. Jericho won't indulge the pipsqueak at all. He bats him and hisses to tell Shiloh to back the hell off. At least Shiloh is smart enough to listen. Snarf, on the other hand, will fight back. The two of them are constantly chasing each other through the house, rolling around on the ground and biting at each other or batting with their front and back paws. When Shiloh is behaving himself, Snarf will actually groom him, and it's really cute to watch that. I think it's a good thing Shiloh was here after Dina got put to sleep becuse Snarf didn't seem so lost with the little pipsqueak to keep him occupied. They cuddle up together and play together constantly. I think Shiloh is going to wear Snarf out one of these days.

I didn't really do much of anything yesterday except get a shower and get dressed. I brought the garbage can in from the street and walked, briskly because it was 20 degrees outside, to the mailbox to pick up the mail, but other than that, I did nothing. I was going to make Western Spaghetti Salad, but I never actually got around to it. In fact, I started getting the head nods, so I laid down on the couch to watch television and went right out to sleep. I think I slept for about four hours, waking up maybe two minutes before Al called to say he was on his way home from work. Thankfully, he got off early yesterday and was home by 7pm. Much to his chagrin, all I did was pop a pizza in the oven to make for dinner. He's not a big pizza fan, but Friday night is pizza night and that's what I make. He only gets to eat something else if I cook on Thursday night and there's leftovers, and Thursday night we wound up having hamburgers after we got back from Mom's.

I guess we're going grocery shopping today. I don't have much on the list, but that will change before we leave.

Other than that, I've got nothing.

NoJoMo is almost over, but now I'm back into the swing of writing, so hopefully I can keep up the momentum and not peter out. I'm not going to do DePhoMo this year, so count me out for lots of pictures to come, but I will try and get some in soon.

RyC: Oh I know.. it's pretty much what my husband has said before... but what I was saying was that I felt like coming out on top from the abuse of my ex husband and everything else to me... is a greater accomplishment... ya know?

Shiloh will calm down eventually...kittens are very rambunctions, but cats are more sedate.
