So gosh, what can I write about yesterday? I didn't do much at all. Dishes, laundry, made dinner, ran out to get the mail before the sky opened up and the rain came pouring down. That's about my day in a nutshell.

I did get a couple of "presents" from that nice UPS man who delivers here. A couple of boxes from Lane Bryant showed up on my doorstep, and I got all excited. I really needed new jeans, which I told Al about before I ordered them. I only had one pair that fit me, and all the rest are too big, so those got bagged up to go to Goodwill and I got two new pairs of jeans. I am stylin' the DKNY, oh yes I am. What I didn't tell Al about and couldn't resist buying, were two new pairs of pajama sets for winter. One of them is tres cute with ornaments on it, and I'll be wearing those come holiday season, and I ordered the matching slippers to go with them, and the other was this adorable pink set with multi-colored bright polka dots. It came with a matching blanket, which I have wrapped around me as I type, and a matching pair of slippers for $1. Seriously, how could I pass those up? I needed the pajamas anyway, cuz all the rest are too big for me, too. See? There's a reason why I'm reading those Shopaholic books. I can relate FAR too much.

Talked to my brother Bob last night about the car situation. He's really against me buying something without a warranty, so he found me a 2008 Dodge Caliber. He's going to call his buddy at Lynch in Burlington, Wisconsin, where he used to work, and work out the deal for me to get the car without a co-signer. I may be able to pick it up on Saturday, provided the deal goes through. Cross your fingers and say some prayers because I really need a car of my own. This one-car-family shit is for the birds, and it needs to come to an end. Quickly. Not that I'll be out driving around like a maniac or anything, but I definitely need a car of my own. And this car is sort of SUV-ish, which is what I wanted anyway, and it comes with all the toys AND low miles. I'm praying. I'm praying. I'm praying.

Yesterday, Corri went out for a walk and I worry when she does that because if you remember when she lived with us last time, and a couple of times this time, when she goes out for a walk, she usually comes back with a bottle of vodka. I checked her out to make sure she had no money on her and all my credit cards were in my wallet. She wasn't happy that I checked up on her, but she understood why I did it. She was clean and really did want to go for a walk, but she didn't want my company because I walk too slow. LOL! She wasn't gone for very long because the rain came down as she was walking. She had just enough time to turn around and get back here when it poured and she looked like a drowned rat when she walked into the house.

She was really antsy yesterday, so I know she was jonesing for a drink, but there's no money to be found anywhere so she is shit out of luck. When her walk didn't pan out, she went to her room to read and then slept for most of the afternoon and well into the evening. Probably the best thing for her.

Since she slept so long and so hard, I did all the dishes and made spaghetti for dinner. She did eat when she got up, and we left a plate out in the microwave for A when he got home from work. The rest was put up so he'll have dinner tonight while we have our typical Friday night pizza. Well, I'll have pizza. Corri is going bowling with Jason tonight.

I've still been keeping the cousins informed about what's been happening with Corri, but not one of them has replied or said a word. I'm sure they're probably all still pissed off about the money and effort they made in getting her back here, and then basically being told "thanks for the help, but butt out." One cousin, however, did send me a Facebook message the other night, asking if Corri still needed cold weather clothes. I answered her and told her that yes, she did, so I'm going over there on Saturday afternoon to pick up whatever sweaters and things she has from her mom. Personally, I think Corri should go with me, since the clothes are for her, but she was making excuses about why she can't go. ("I'll be getting home too late from going out with Jason and I need to sleep.") Whatever. I should just let it go, but I won't, because I know she needs the clothes and I can't afford to buy her sweaters and things. Free is always good and I can't pass that up, even if Corri wants to act like an ungrateful brat.

So that's the what's happening. Like I said, not much, but, I guess at least it's something.

This was the other NoJoMo tag I liked, but the purple moon I posted yesterday is still my favorite.

RYC. I've been in several weddings in the past and they are expensive, dress, shoes, accessories, shower presents (the brides all had more than one shower), wedding present and more. What happened to just wearing your best clothes and having a big party?? I hope my daughter elopes.

Crazy bones are these little plastic figurines that come in various shapes and colors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gogo's_Crazy_Bones
Bea loves them. They come in packages that look like m&ms. But when you open it there are 3 crazy bones figurines inside.

Did Corri have this boyfriend before?
That is nice how Bob is helping you with a second car.

Ps. Sorry about today. Contact me when you're bored this weekend.
