In this entry I will list my fears. Why? Because I feel like it. And if you don't know what I'm scared of, you don't know too much about me. My #3 Fear is...
Strange Dogs. I used to be super scared of all dogs but I became friends with a friends' dog and it helped me a LOT! My fear originated from when I was a little girl. We would go for walks on a street we call "The Court" and there was a huge dog that chased me and I would run like the wind. It happened a few times, then I vowed to myself that I would never return to that dreaded place. One time I did, and I didn't think I would see the dog. But it chased me again and I vowed again that I wouldn't go back. I'm almost 14 years old and that was the last time I went to the court. My siblings ask if I want to go, but I always say no. Lisa even saw the dog and it sniffed her. I felt somewhat jealous and angry, but I still wouldn't return. When I take walks and I see a strange dog I get scared and upset. Once the was a golden retriever and I was scared. But Nikki reassured me that it probably had an electric fence. I went to the farther side of the street and assumed it was sleeping. It's owner dove up and the dog went to the owner, then us. My heart was beating faster then ever. The owner said "It's OK, he'll sniff ya." The dog came up to us, and walked around us and I was totally fine then. I'm seem to be more scared when they're coming to me than when they are touching me. I still don't like to be licked. I have still had 3 or 4 dreams of being bit, and I could feel it. I have NEVER been bit in real life.
My fear of dogs is getting tons better.
My #2 Fear is... Spiders, crawling bugs, ticks, and lyme disease.
I don't mind flying bugs as much as crawling bugs, unless they bite. I have a bad fear of lyme disease so I only go in the woods in winter. We went hiking a few times and I was very fearful and I never touched anything. Then I bought spray with my own money for "deep woods" that repelled everything that bites. I would douse my skin and clothes with that smelly stuff and I felt so secure and taking a hike I had no worries. It felt great. But my little siblings went nuts with it. They would steal it and spray it all over so I had to keep it with me all the time. Pfft. I really hate it when little spiders swing around. I'm more scared of the small spiders. Daddy long-legs barely scare me unless someone is waving one in my face.
My #1 fear is...
Lightning Flashes
You probably just assumed I am scared or being hit by lightning. No, I'm not scared of that at all. As long as I take the right precautions, I won't get hit. I am scared of the flashes. One night, it was dark. Wow! How weird is that??? Just kidding. I was sitting on the couch downstairs and I saw a little flash. I go upstairs to bed, and as I am dressing, I ask my sister, whom with I shared a room, if she saw a lightning flash. The room was dark, and I was facing a big window. Then there was a bright flash that lit up the room. Two seconds later, guess what I am doing? Cowering in a corner, covering my face and plugging my ears. My heart is going faster than in the dog story. I am instantly covered in sweat. A minute later, I am still covering my face, heading to the bathroom, the only room that has no windows.
That fear is gonna be the hardest to beat.
I love you!
