when the sun peeks through, and wakes you up
you know that it is a new day

when you smile at the mirror,
and there is a beautiful girl smiling back at you
you know that today will be a good day

when the lady at the window hands you a coffee,
she tells you that it is for free,

when you come to learn,
and you feel you got a little more than you earn

when that annoying kid, moves to the other side
after class a nice kid pulls you aside

when you are driving to work, with the radio on
you sing along with your favorite song

You get to work early
and your boss tells you, after about three hours,
You can go home and you will be paid for the full six hours
you think to your self,

you have a little something to eat
than you want to go to sleep
so you take a hot shower
and as you are laying in bed, you think
MMMM, I smell like pretty flowers
every day is a new day
the phone rings
and you are thinking of different things
and than another call
it is your sister, your niece has grown tall
how about Saturday, I can come and play
as you think to your self,
every day is a new day
than you drift off to sleep
you peek out the window
the moon and the stars in the sky
you wish upon a shooting star in the sky
even though, every day is a new day
your wish will come true
because every day is a new day
your family will always love you
your best friends will always be there for you
and when you are dreaming about horses that can fly
you know that every day is a new day
and some day, some day, every day will be a good day
