All my life has been a game that never ends
been to a lot of concerts, been to a lot of games at the fens
I've got four friends but never held a girl
Don't mean to bore you with the story of my world
been criticized for all the goals I've set
despite my disabilities, each goal I have met
The baseball god has blessed me with a team, a prayer to chase
it's been disappointing for the most part, but I'll keep the faith
And ya,
I'm grateful for who I am
I can't believe I kept my plan
And if I stopped along the way to fight a tear

But I am reaching for my dream
There's been so much that I've seen along the way
I learned that discrimination is real every day
And how much a dollar is worth
But what I learned the most was family and good friends come first
