Oh, the joys!
I'm so proud of the
Giants! Yeeyaaah!
OD is down, once again. I'm so not shocked.
I got a card from Allen today! I have mixed feelings about it but overall I'm accepting it as a good thing. Doing anything other then that would be immature.
Hmm, since I'm new here I suppose I have some explaining to do that way you're not all lost. Allen is my biological father who left when I was 4 years old. He was very consistant in staying away until 20 minutes before my 24th birthday. That's right, almost exactly 20 years later he found me - on Facebook no less - and we've been in some form of contact since then. June 20th, to be exact. I have refused to phone him or offer him my phone number so we've been contacting eachother through snail mail. I figured if he wants a relationship I'd like to see him put some effort into it. So far he hasn't. Okay, he has! Just not the amount of effort I'd like.
Don't you just hate when people don't live the way you want them too?
Since June we've gone 3 months without talking - the card I rcvd today explained he's been busy getting ready for winter and just hasn't had the time to write. I think it's a sorry excuse but...he is a man so...whatever. He also explained he's going to look into getting a computer once he fixes his truck (it needs $1500 worth of work) so we could have more regular contact. I think that is a good idea, he needs to get himself out of the stone age.
Aside from all that, Patrick (the boyfriend) and I went to the library with my lil' brothers today. I picked 2 books, one is a biography about Hitler and the other is a love story that sounded interesting and not too typical. I started in on the biography first and so far I've been pretty happy with the book. For some reason Hitler, as a person, is very interesting but I detest everything he stood for. We'll see if I stick with the book - over 1,000 pages on a crazy dictator may be a bit too much for me.
In regards to my last entry: we didn't make it over to Stacy's house today. She got sidetracked with some friends and my family and I got sidetracked with the Giants game. Go figure! All in all we had a very nice day and I'm happy about that. Stacy did contact my mom and ask that I take her daughter tomorrow while she has a visit with her sons. She wants K to be in a safe place where her father can't get to her...I'm the best option because no one involved in the case knows where I am or who I am. We'll see what happens.
On a lighter note: it's raining and I'm so ready to run around the backyard butt naked. Rain dance, here I come!
