It's been way too long since I've been on here. Life is busy, work is busy, and the time to enjoy life has been missing. This coming Sunday however will be different as I'm taking back the time I've sacrificed. Going on a cruise with the girlfriend and a bunch of friends to the Bahamas is what the doctor ordered. Keen to following directions, I'm pleased to jettison on out of town this coming Sunday.
College has killed me, and that's only due to my perfectionist nature. I'm still rocking a 4.0 and I'm almost to the point where I'll be shocked if I graduate with anything less than that. Just a mere 1.5 years remaining and all that I have left to take are my core requirements. For some that may still be daunting, but all I have to learn is how to program and I'm already well versed in that science. Right now I'm wrapping up my last standard English requirement of Public Speaking. Thankfully I've been doing that for a long time and it was evident to my professor. He kept saying wow non-stop on my last speech and handed me a 100. The computer programming course is a joke. I completed 8 weeks worth of assignments in two days. Midterms for both are in two days and I'm not losing any sleep over either of them.
Recently I released another software application to the government. Development was kind of long due to horrible requirements. Then again, I've grown accustomed to that. Regardless when the government signed off on my application for final release, I felt relieved. 7 months of writing code non stop can take a toll on a person. The girlfriend never really understood the life of a developer where often times work never stops when you leave the office. She survived, and now we're back to the cruise.
This Sunday will be ridickulous. I managed to get sunburnt yesterday just so I'll be good to go by Sunday. No one wants to be miserable on the cruise, and thus I sacrificed early for future benefit. And with that said I'm off. Time to learn how to play 3 card poker. |
