So I thought I'd update today seeing as I went through a pretty imporant event no matter how much I try to deny that it wasn't that big of a deal. On wednesday 20th October I graduated from Anglia Ruskin university with a 2:1 BA(hons) in Criminology. The ceremony was at 3:00pm and it was boring as hell!
It was so stressful from booking the cap and gown, to ordering the tickets and then there was the actual day! I had an issue with the tickets because I was only allowed three. I have mum and dad and two nan's, there lies the dilema.....If my granddad was alive he would have been the person to get that third ticket because he was the one who was probably the most proud of me going, he was the one who drove me to continue with his belief in me. He visited me while working, took me out to dinner, picked me up and took me home for weekend, then drove me all the way back again before my lecture on a monday. He did so much for me and it hurt that he wasn't going to be there to celebrate, so the only way I could thank him was to invite my nannie S, but this would cause conflict with my nannie B and my dad. However it was resolved by dad ringing up and asking if it would be okay to which she said yes.
Anyway, Nan S went, it was a stressful day, we arrived late, my motorboard was too big, I was wearing heels so my feet hurt, the pictures took forever because the line was so big, I couldn't tie my hood to a button so it kept strangling me and the actual ceremony was really boring. However sitting there with my fellow graduands it was a very surreal experience, and I sort of felt like an extra from Harry Potter lol. It was scary going on stage and shaking the vice chancellors hand. But it was over with in 8 seconds, hardly worth it. But I did get to see everyone, probably for the last time.
The best part of the day however was after the ceremony. While coming out of the toilets with my nan and mum I was stopped by a french lady and four teenage girls....and was asked if I could have a picture with them! I was gobsmacked.....and found it hilarious, I said yes and posed with the girls and the lady took the picture. She asked what the outfit was for and I said graduation and she said "Ah congratulations!".
Hated graduation......but gotta love the french!
Now today I am in a bad mood, Willow woke me up by slicing my toe open with her claw (stupid me for hanging me feet out at the end of the bed) and now I can't walk on it. (She now has the nerve to crawl up to me asking for a cuddle!)
Hi-ho however going out to a friends for chinese, x-factor and games (hopefully not just dance because my foot may still hurt)
Time to get dressed!
P.S ...... Still no job.
