This is a quick one as despite the fact that I never want to remember this day again, I should at least mention it. When I went to work, the Internet, the credit card machines and the givex (it's for our special book tokens) weren't working. And they continued to not work for the entire day.
So, that led to quite a few moments where we got told off by customers for something we had no control over, as the IT guys couldn't figure out what was wrong.
And also, a woman who was having three books kept aside for her in order to wait for the fourth to get in so that she could claim the 4 for three, had to be told that she couldn't get the promotion anymore as it had expired. Never mind that I got told by a Manager that she could, the rules had all of a sudden changed and I was the one who had to deal with it. And the fact that she'd lost her gift card and so couldn't get that deducted from the total.
I hate my job. I want to quit.
