My last day off, as I'm returning tomorrow to do the Late Shift. I believe that I'm closing all by myself, which really doesn't bother me as I used to do it all the time before it became the norm for there to always be at least two. Feel a lot better than when I left on Sunday, as despite my brave words to myself and in the entry, I suffered a panic attack. Managed to nearly convince myself that I was going to be fired, or given a warning over it all but managed to calm myself down at the end (though it meant that I didn't go to bed at a reasonable time which I did suffer from the next day as I didn't wake up until after mid-day. Stupid trying to sleep properly).
I spent yesterday just drifting around, not doing much. Didn't even write, though I did make an attempt later on that night. But it was more me correcting my spelling (I have got to stop writing when I am really tired as I seem to be barely able to form proper sentences and my spelling becomes attrocious) than actually writing and I stopped myself when it got to half past eleven. Didn't go to bed, but I knew that if I tried to keep going any further, I would forget to turn off my computer and then it might suffer from another little crash. Hate it when that happens but my little computer isn't built for being kept on just in case I get a new idea.
So, stayed up and tried to catch up on all the television programmes that I had recorded because of my long four day stint trying to help get the shop back up. I had two Judge Judy's (only have gotten through one of them) and two Britain Got's Talent. I had missed the Saturday show, and it was agreed to watch something else when they were doing the results show. Watched those two so I am caught up, and I have to say, most of the ones that got through, deserved it. Though I wasn't exactly sure why the Woodchop guy did. Yes, it's an art (and it is bloody hard chopping up wood as I do know) but I wouldn't exactly call it a talent that could be put on show. It's more something that you would admire someone for being able to do, and leave it at that. And the guy who works on the cruise ships. I do enjoy entertainment that they have on ships, but it's more of something that only really works on a cruise ship. I find myself rocking back and forth in time with the music, but I can think of other acts that deserved the place, more. But that is just my opinion.
Unfortunately, we'd forgotten to actually record the part where they announce what two acts got through, so I'm searching for it on the net. The other ones that performed on Monday night truly proved that they should be there, and so I would like to know who is know going to be through for the Saturday one.
Better go, anyway. Have housework to do, and I am recording The Monarchy by David Starkey (I really liked his series on Henry VIII so I thought I would try some of his other ones). So, I can go off and do something else and then come back to it.
