So, today was actually quite exciting, as I tried my first proper heroic.
I've done a few TBC heroics before for fun, and for badges (I want the Tormented Demonsoul Robes for RP, they are so pretty), but this was my first Wrath heroic. Our guild has been aiming that way for quite a bit now. The dream of a heavy RP guild that also does high level content has been realised. Under the moral and spiritual guidance of our lovely tank (who has done heroics with PuGs before), we went through Drak'Tharon. Successfully completing this, we tried Utgarde Pinnacle, which was a little harder but we nevertheless managed.
I'm starting to feel more confident in my healing. I'm still not in top level gear but I've got my spellpower up to 1775, which I'm told is pretty good. I need to work a little on my haste and my spirit (which is down to just over 600) but overall mana wasn't a problem. I love being a holy priest. I love the fact that I slogged it all the way to 80 as holy spec. I get a real buzz off healing in tricky fights, where you're constantly keeping an eye out, trying to manage your mana well while keeping everyone upright.
My biggest priority in World of Warcraft has always been the role-play. I love my characters, and the plots that are developing around them. I love how organic they tend to be in a setting where storytelling is such a group effort. I love how much Keylai has changed and grown.
However, gotta say, the PvE is damn fun too. |
