Restless Legs

10/27/2010

When I was pregnant I developed Restless Leg syndrome. Which did nothing to help my anxiety. After I had Jake it pretty much went away, or at least I didn't notice it.

But, Now it is back...with a vengance! I can hardly sleep. I wake up during the night, I'm tossing and turning...its awful!

And once again it isn't helping my anxiety. The akward feelings get me all weirded out and then into an anxiety attack I go.

I have been occasionally been taking something to help me sleep. Because if I don't, I can't fall asleep, or I can't stay asleep. My legs are....Quivery...I don't know how to describe it. I don't think I can. They just feel..weird...and It won't stop. I've tried taking things like Benedryl and Flexeril, but I'm grogging in the morning when I take them. I've taken Ativan, but it doesn't last all night and I tend to wake up early.

Its making me very grumpy.

I looked it up online. It was helpful. But mostly I think if I want relief I'd have to go the the Dr. and I am so broke I just can't do that right now. So, I'll start taking my vitamins again, and keep taking something at night before I go to bed.

Ah, what an annoyance.

On a side note, That resident of mine will have her blood work done today. So we should have some preliminary information on her possiable condition (see entry Kicking myself) I'm still kicking myself. I'll be very interested to see these labs when I get to work tonight.

That is interesting! The problem I have with people who claim Jesus is just an older "god" reborn, or whatever, is this: the old testament tells us all about Jesus and how He will be born, many details about His birth and crucifixion. The people were told that he would come and bring a heavenly kingdom with Him. Then, after the OT, 400 years passed before anybody heard from God. It isn't unreasonable to think that the people would conjour up their own version of Jesus (modeled after what He really would be, because they wanted to be freed and part of their own "kingdom"). The difference between Jesus and this Dionysus is this: Jesus rose form the grave 3 days after. He wasn't really born December 25th. He wasn't just a traveling teacher, He was God - and made that claim many times (and was threatened by the Jews to be stoned on the spot for His "blasphemy"). He was called "King of Kings" and "Lord of Lords" because there is only ONE God, so there can't be a "God of Gods." But I can see where the people, after a 400 year silence form God, would come up with such a man!

Now, that's just a preliminary response. I can go into it some more, if you like. But I think the 400 year silence, the people WAITING anxiously for Jesus (we all know that when we got somethin in our heads, we imagine things - like at night, when we tric ourselves into hearing noises, etc) and having all the signs to look for to know when He got there, it isn't unreasonable to think that they would attribute those things to many different people, hoping for the true One.

Of course, I'd have to look up the sources for this Dionysus. And find out more about him before I made any definite opinions about this. But, thanks - I had never heard of this before!

Yes, it sure is. I jumped around the page you sent and read a few of them - something to think about.

Another thing to think about is this: the earth is very young (4000 years or so), and 400 years is a looooong time for a ton of myths and "gods" and legends to pop up, without God to refute them. Now, if you want to believe the earth is millions/billions of years old, that's fine - I'm not going to debate that (though I could ), but to be fair, we'd need to take the ratio of 4000:100 million (or whatever) and apply it to the 400 years, which (at 100million) would be: 10 million years, if I did my math correctly. So, ten million years of silence from God...until 2000 years ago, then definitely, I bet a TON of stories popped up as they were anxiously waiting for His coming. But I still love reading them

I have super bad anxiety too. If I feel anything different with me, into a panic attack I go. It's terrible =(
