Funnel Cake Time!

Starting today, the State Fair is back! There is just something about a fair or carnival that I can't get enough of. I worked for the fair for 3 years. It was awesome. Get in for free every day, and when you get off work, you can go play! Also, you make friends with a lot of carnies and food vendors, so free stuff galore! I love to take my 3 yr old, but last year she got in a fun house and wouldn't come out! she knew it would be over when she slid down the last slide (she was on it 3 times), so she just stayed up there! My friend Nick had to go in and get her. So anyway, just thinking about the fair makes me all giddy inside. Larry the Cable Guy will be there. I think the best fair food is funnel cake. Can't get enough! I have tried to make it at home, but it wasn't the same. Close, but not the same. Eating it at a fair probably would have helped! I am just SO excited! My sister (who just turned 21) is coming to visit from NJ tomorrow, and she is staying all of fair week. Good people, good food, and mediocre calliope music. Perfect!
