Two of my favorite people are getting married! Yay! I think they are perfect for each other! My good friend Matt is visiting from Virginia to be in the wedding. He crashed at our place last night and I went to see his parents yesterday. His dad, Mr. Melling was one of my favorite teachers in middle school. He taught Technology (not computers, it was more like a mix of shop and mechanics. Pretty awesome.) Sadly, in 2006 he suffered a severe stroke that made it impossible for him to continue to teach. He still has trouble with speech. It was really great seeing his parents, they are both wonderful people. We all had dinner on their back deck while the sun was setting.
My husband is a groomsman in the wedding. I have to buy him a few things today. Shoes and pants. I don't really know what to wear, I am not in the wedding party and they said extremely casual dress for everyone else. I think im gonna go with a dress though. Just not a fancy one.
I am finishing a cake topper that I made for Kent and Krista as a gift. I hope they like it! They are two little white birds with yellow and green flowers. The whole thing is made of sculpy and then painted a few cute details. It's a country theme wedding with yellow so I hope they love it! They have a cute little girl named Inez that loves to play with our daughter and they are VERY excited to see each other.
Today I have to get insurance back on my vehicle. I had suspended it a while back when it was broken down for 2 months. |
