So thats what a panic attack feels like

11/12/2009

I was out running again and id gone quite far. I think i was nearly at the hill where we let off the fireworks last saturday. Some woman with a couple of jack russels was walking along with them, and i thought this time i'll just run right past and ignore them.
No such luck.
As soon as they saw me they pelted up to me, and i stopped dead in my tracks. I thought they'd just sniff about for a bit but they started jumping and barking. The woman said 'they wont bite' just as they started biting. They snapped and clawed at my trousers, I was terrified!
She says dont scream but i was so close to screaming I stood still in one place while those HORRIBLE little fuckers barked and growled and bit my legs. I could feel their nasty little teeth scraping me.
She was trying to catch them but they were too quick. I couldnt breathe or speak. I was gasping for air and clutching at my chest but i couldnt calm down. It lasted what seemed like forever but it was probably less than a minute. She kept asking if i was ok, but i only wanted to just breathe again.
Eventually i managed to calm down and walk off, but i wanted to cry i was so shaken. I think its fair to say Im even more scared of dogs now

people need to keep their dogs on a leash. i'm a dog person, but i know people can be frightened of them and it's just bullshit to say "oh don't worry they don't bite".

I'd have kicked em, personally.

Then again, I'm someone with three huge dogs who get into fights all the time, and I dive right in and break em apart. No fear here.

I usually come out with a tooth lodged in my arm though.

They should have had the dogs on a leash, it winds me up when people do that cause peopleare scared of them, I am a dog person and my dog (if I had one) when I took it anywhere, it would be on a leash!
Hope you are ok!

yeah, they should definitely had them on a leash. i have 2 labradors and granted they won't bite you maliciously but there's nothing to say that they won't unintentionally while trying to play with you. That's just the way dogs are and if you own one you would know this so keep them on a leash for crying out loud. people such as yourself who are frightened really don't give a damn if a dog can bite or not, am i right? lol some people just don't like them and that's their right.
