What would you do?

Hmmm...

The neighbor's next door have 2 big dogs, the dogs are super friendly and anytime I get in the car I always pet them thru the fence n stuff.. I've never met the neighbors. They leave the dogs outside 24/7 which I do not agree with but apparently that's what ppl in Texas do with big dogs, and apparently I'm the weird one for wanting the dog in the house. ...ANYWAY... The dogs haven't been outside today, and one has been crying all day n night.. Not constant, but at random. It's breaking my heart!! It sounds like the dog is in a shed or something but it's right outside of our bedroom window.. I know there's no way I'm going to be able to fall asleep, I'll just lay there and get sad listening to this dog cry.

What would you do? I'm about to call Houston Police Department's non-emergency line...

I just wanted to stop by and say hello. I'm LN's friend, Autumn. I too live in the Houston area. I moved down here a few years ago from WA state. After reading your note I had to laugh, because I could have written it myself. I used to hate the stupid feeder roads, but now I love them!

I would try talking to your neighbor first and let them know you were concerned. That way it won't come as such a shock to them if you call the cops the next time it happened

I would talk to the neighbor first as well, lest you risk making an enemy over (potentially) nothing. For all you know, they may have had to run out for an emergency or something and had nothing they could do with the dog on short notice. If this is the first time it's happened, don't make a stink until you at least know why :/
