SO, these are the things I'm LIKING, LOVING, WANTING SOME MORE OF'ING! for the month of JANUARY!! Share yours in the comments below!!!
1. Body Clear Body Wash in Grapefruit by Neutrogena
I started out by buying the equivalent face wash, mostly due to the AMAZING citrus-y scent (which definitely worked as a pick-me-up on sluggish mornings!). The face wash started out amazingly, and after about 3 weeks I noticed a lot of clearing on my skin. However, it was insanely drying... like PAINFULLY drying, and I was needing so much moisturizer that I just gave it up. Still wanting to keep the fantastic scent, I got the Body Wash instead. It smells great and I haven't noticed any drying problems in the shower, so I definitely give the Body Wash two thumbs up! (The facial wash is great *IF* and only if you do not have dry or sensitive skin!)
2. Philosophy Hope in a Jar
Best moisturizer ever, hands down. Creamy, luxurious, doesn't break me out, and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin at all. (Although, it is a little pricey if you're not catching it on sale. Make sure to check the Marshalls/TJ Maxx in your area within the next few weeks if you want to score cheap Philosophy products. They seem to be getting a pretty nice stock from this brand lately!)
3. Revlon ColorStay Foundation (Normal/Dry Formula)
I gave this one a try after watching a slew of YouTube reviews and hearing what a fabulous choice it was for a buildable coverage. I get the dry formula, and actually give it a dewier look by mixing a pump of moisturizer into it (although doing such does actually lessen the coverage/staying power, I've found, so keep that in mind). The way I apply it is to dump a few drops on the back of my hand, pump in the moisturizer, then mix it with my Coastal scents Stipple brush. After doing so, I just tap, tap, tap it onto my skin, and blend any uneven areas with my finger or a sponge. I love the coverage, but be careful as the color selection isn't the best and the color doesn't seem to exactly match the impression you get from looking at the bottle!
4. Benefit Powderazzi
Although I did not actually obtain this until the end of December, I cannot get enough of this trio!! Coralista is such a pretty pink shade which works as a fabulous blush on the apples of my cheeks. Hoola is a great bronzer that's a bit darker than my go-to Clarins bronzer, but actually seems to go on a bit smoother and lasts a bit longer, which is always a plus! Finally, Hoola is a bit more gold and can either look great dusted over the eyes or powdered onto the cheeks for a sunkissed glow. At $30, this set is a bit pricey, but if you're a blush/bronzer fanatic, it's worth it in the end!
5. Old Fashioned Lemonade Gloss by Philosophy
Picture's kinda small on this one, sorry. But, it's a nice clear gloss that stays on well and smells EXACTLY like a tall glass of cold, icy lemonade. I LOVE this, as well as the Old Fashioned Lemonade hand cream, and I used each one pretty much every single day in the month of January. SOOOOOOOOOO NICE!!
Not a lot to list here, as some of my other faves were just repeats from the past, but here ya go! If you used anything in December that I *NEED* as well (because isn't it always a "NEED"? LOL), tell me below.
Happy new Year!
