MY COSMETIC/BEAUTY WISHLIST, PART 1!

12/03/2009

I just thought it'd be fun to make a little gallery here of products I'm dying to try and beauty items I'm really wishing to get this holiday season! (Although, somehow, Santa is really cosmetically challenged at my house, so it's usually up to me to cheat and just purchase a surprise for myself, LOL!)

So, here we go!! A lot of these will be found at online stores or home shopping type deals. Sadly, we don't have a Sephora where I'm from, and the makeup counters at the malls aren't as nicely stocked as I'd like... so most of my wishing/buying is online.

1. Benefit Powderazzi 3 in 1 Face Powder

The colors here are Coralista (the pretty pink blush in the corner), Hoola (the shimmery bronze on the right), and Dallas (which is intended to be somewhere between a blush and a bronzer). I've so many ravishing reviews on the Benefit boxes on YouTube that I'm just *dying* to try some myself, and this trio really gives you a nice sampling without spending $30/each on the individual colors.

2. Urban Decay Urban Survival Set

I *REALLY* want to try the Eyeshadow Primer Potion, as I really don't use an eyeshadow primer right now (but instead just tab a bit of concealer before putting down a light all-over shadow.. then I build on that). This kit also contains a mascara, berry lip stain, lip gloss, eyeliner, then four fabulous shadows: Chopper, Twice Baked, Smog, and Grifter. I've tried Urban Decay shadows in the past and really love the depth and pigmentation. This little kit looks like a great way to try a bunch of products without throwing out a ton of money.

3. Best of MAKEUP FOREVER Collection

I've heard so many wonderful things about Makeup Forever, but again, this is a company that has no representation in my town, at all! But this looks like a fantastic little starter package, with HD Microperfection Primer, HD Finishing Powder, Aqua Eyes Liner Pencil, Smoky Lash Mascara, and eye makeup remover. Looks so nice!

4. Michael Kors Very Hollywood Eau de Parfum Spray

I smelled this in a recent issue of Lucky Magazine, and WOW do I LOVE it!!!!

5. Clinique Three Step Discovery Skin Care System

I've been looking for a nice skin care system that's a little less HARSH on my skin than most of the actual clarifying systems I've been using. I've seen quite a few YouTube videos stating that although the Clinique system takes at least a month or so to begin working, that it actually does clear the skin over time without the unfortunate side effects of dryness and puffiness that plague sensitive skin while using some of the rougher systems. So, I'm curious enough now to give this a try.

6. Tarte EmphasEYES 3 piece Inner Rim Liner set

I have really sensitive eyes, but I've always adored the look of an inner eye line, especially in a nice white to make the eyes really POP and look wide and bright! Most liners, though, tend to make my eyes watery, even when applied so delicately at the rims, so this set specially formulated for a more sensitive area is really appealing to me!

7. Laura Geller Real Deal Full-Coverage Concealer

Specially designed for covering tattoos and scars, this concealer could finally give the coverage I've really been seeking!!!

OK, there's a start. Part 2 coming soon!

UD primer potion is really great, but I like MAC's paint pot in painterly. It's a really nice base, and it evens out the skin tone on my eye lids and I even use it as an under eye concealer cause it wasn't cake up in the lines.

I have been using the Clinique skin care system since I was a teenager & I absolutely love it. It's a bit pricey for me. Usually around $65, but if you get it around the holiday season or on sale you can get it for about $50. Anytime I have switched to try a different face wash I always break out, then when I switch back to Clinique it takes about 2 weeks & my skin is clear again. I call it my "old reliable" face wash. lol The other stuff looks interesting too. I would like to try that Urban Decay stuff!

Oh & I didn't mention that I'm talking about the big bottles of the face wash that cost that much. Those look about half the size or less than the ones I buy, so those actually may be a lot cheaper.

I think I'd like everything on this list. Whatcha getting me?

I looove the 3 step system. I used the regular one for about a month or two (and it worked pretty well), but then I switched to the one for acne. It works soooo fast! I love it! I have to use the Dramatically Different Gel in the morning, though, because the moisturizer for the acne one dries me out too much.
