So, I'm super excited to tell you about two FANTASTIC (and inexpensive) products I've been using lately, because I really adore them and think they've (temporarily) helped me reduce down my (current) makeup routine a little bit.
Okay, let's just jump right in!!
First product. If you watch YouTube makeup gurus at all, you've probably heard about the infamous PINK CHAMPAGNE lipstick by none other than Rimmel. Everyone RAVES about this product, but I was totally unconvinced. I mean, check out this color!
It makes me think Barbie doll. Plus, I have a tend to have redness in my skin, so I was afraid this would really bring it out.
Now, be aware this is no longer called PINK CHAMPAGNE. After a little revamp, it's now called Pink Blush, which is still #006, and this is what the tube looks like for reference (although this is NOT the right color!)
This lipstick is AMAZING. It looks PERFECT with my blsonde hair, and compliments my fair skin (as long as I tone down the red a bit with some concealer!) It smells a bit like bubble gum (but not strong... don't worry!!!), and is not drying, which is always a plus for a good lip product. It has pretty decent staying power for a $4 lip stick, and I swear I've never gotten more compliments in my life on a lip product! I will definitely repurchase and am totally excited about this lipstick!!!
And, NUMBER TWO.
Check it out. L'oreal Telescopic Explosion. VERY reminiscent of a product the Givency mascara, shown here:
which runs at least $30 a pop.
This too is AMAZING! Seriously, I don't see myself needing another, ever again! I think it was about $10 at Target, and it did such a magnificent job separating the lashes at the corner of the eyes, as well as the lower lashes. Most brushes are just too big to do an adequate job, but this one really gave me the look of false lashes (speaking of which, look for an upcoming entry on my recent first attempt at those little nightmares LOL).
HOWEVER, this is not a mascara that you can just whisk on, in a hurry, like the products you probably typically use. You really have to take it nice and slow or you will end up with clumpy lashes. So, if you're in a rush in mornings, save this beauty for next time. But, if you have a little time and patience for a flawless lash job, I think you'll enjoy the payoff here.
ANYWAYS, so thrilled to find these gems. Today, my entire makeup look consisted of foundation, bronzer, the Rimmel lipstick, and the mascara, and for anyone who knows me, that's a crazy simple look. (I am the QUEEN of the blended eyeshadows and the cream liners!!). So, for now, these are my faves, but we'll see. There's always something new and sparkly around the corner!!
Upcoming entry... my new and updated foundation routine, featuring my new favorite mineral makeup!......
