If you give them enough rope to hang themselves, then they usually will. What you do is ask enough questions that they can't answer or that don't match up, and then you will know the truth. They'll eventually tell on themselves. But if he says stuff like that to you, make sure you stand up for yourself and don't take it. We teach people how to treat us so make sure you teach him to treat you well. You're a beautiful girl, and you don't deserve to be treated disrespectfully. If he's lying, his best bet is to come clean with you right now. When people get really defensive, then they are usually hiding something. I don't know him or the situation, but I know people pretty well. I can't say he's lying or tell you what to do, but you know in your gut what you need to do. Just keep feeding him rope until he comes clean or the truth comes out - because it will. They can't hide shit forever.

I am sorry that you're feeling this way though and that things are going like this. I know how badly it hurts when the person you love is being an ass in that way and making you feel badly. *hugs*
