♥ 9:10pm this week has been up & down.
monday: got to the olive garden around 8:45 in the morning & went in for my first day of training. it went well, we ate food & she showed us around. we learned how to make salad, for when we have to do it on our own. we got outta there pretty early, so i went home and relaxed.
tuesday: it was our first day of following a server. in the morning i followed jon & i had a pretty easy shift. he showed me as much as he could, when he could & he was extremely helpful. the night shift was a completely different story. i was supposed to be with a girl named megan, but i got stuck with this lady named sandra. first thing she said to me was "i'm busy, so just deal with it" she didn't introduce me to any tables, & she had ME running to get their food & drinks. it doesn't sound that bad, but we had 5 tables (we're only supposed to have 3 max at a time, MAYBE 4 if you're an awesome server. which sandra is not) & although i am more then willing to help, it was my first night & the only thing i was supposed to do was "follow" but i was more like a little bitch for her to boss around.
the next day when i went in, i told kelli (my trainer) all about it. thank god it wasn't the first she had heard, but i told her everything any ways just so she was completely aware that i learned just about nothing that night. when you're that under pressure, running back & forth ... it's hard to take anything in.
the rest of my week went well at olive garden (: i had my first lunch lead & dinner lead last night (served by myself) & i think i did well! kelli had nothing bad to say to me about anything, except that i forgot to take the menus one time ;x woops.
