On the bright side....

I'm still very *very* angry at the various parties involved in the transit dispute that's going on in my City, and frustrated at the inability to really go anywhere, as well as the ineptitude of the City Council in bringing this crisis to close

But, i'm going to focus some positive things today:

First of all, the strike is giving me more time at home, and i'm obviously spending some of that time with the little man: C, and it has been fun playing with him, we had some fun today. It's hard to explain how but this time has helped us bond ii think, and it's given me a deeper appreciation for him, it actually makes me sad for next week when i'll be going back to school, assuming everything else falls into place.

I've also been able to devote some time to modeling. In the last couple of days i've gotten a crap-ton of mini's assembled and that's good. I've gotten some painting done with more on the way, tomorrow i'm gonna prime some more models to get ready to put brush to mini.

An odd plus side but given the nature of the transit issue,i've been doing a lot of writing, posting comments on various sites, e-mailing politicians and it's been a fun excercise, it's part of the reason i've not been writing as much here.

Oh, and Sports Night, i picked up the DVD collection the other day, been watching it pretty heavily, i rather enjoy it, Arron Sorkin is always a blast! (note, gotta ask Jasmin if she's seen the West Wing, she'd enjoy it)

I'm sure there are other positive things but nothing else springs to mind, ah well that, for now will do.

*sigh* You don't have to explain, but the fact that the whole idea isn't intuitive to you makes me very sad for you. Yes, spending time with your son helps you bond with him. It makes him feel, probably for the first time in his life, that he matters to you.
When the transit strike ends, don't allow yourself to go back to the way things were. He needs you.

RYC: It wasn't meant as a judgemental comment, it's merely an observation. I didn't say disgusted. I just really feel badly for you, for the things you have so much trouble with. I know that it's not intuitive to you, and that makes me sad. Sad for you, because it's obviously the root of your problems both with your son and in your other social difficulties. I'm sorry if what I've said offended you. It's just as a friend, I would just prefer at this point to say things that seem blatantly obvious to me, because they are obviously not obvious to you. No offence was meant by it. If you don't know, you can't know without being taught, and that's all I'm attempting to do for both your sakes, and because I know that you actually care. I wouldn't bother if I didn't think you cared, that'd be a waste of my time and energy.
I am on an exceptional amount of pain medication, and I'm not always capable of expressing myself as clearly as I'd like. I do apologize for offending you.
