for those who want the short version it's Chris Matthews confronting a surrogate of the republcans talking about how Obama is an appeaser, the problem is the the speaker couldn't define what an appeaser was, he reffered to Neville Chamberlin, but couldn't actually get the correct histiorcal reference.
Gods, maybe i should go on TV, it strikes me as hi-larous (tho' it could be because i only got 5 hours of sleep last night) that this fellow who is paid probably a fair amount of money, and probably has a college education came off as dumber than, well frankly most people but in this case me, and i didn't got to college, and i don't get paid to go on TV.
i'd ask the RNC for a job, but i hate their guts so......
and further into the segment Chris is talking about the branding of political discourse how if you say something that the Adminstiration doesn't like, if you disagree or disupte, they do their level best to destroy them; a la the Dixie Chicks, Joesph Wison, and Bill Mahr.
And i think it's fair to say that it sounds a hell of alot like 1984, the usage of language in that way...reminds me of Newspeak.
