So...yesterday was the hardest day I've had in a really long time.
Yesterday was my friend/little sisters funeral. It was a beautiful service, and A LOT of people came. They ran out of seats for everyone, so some people had to stand. It was so overwhelming to see how many people really loved her. Words just can't describe how much she means to everyone.
Old friends were reunited, enemies were no more...it was all about Jessica. And remembering the times we spent with her.
Doug's mom tried to get me up to the casket to say goodbye, but as soon as I saw her laying in there like that, I started to cry, and my legs started to get weak beneath me. I kept begging her,
"Please don't make me do it. Please don't. Please."
I just couldn't do it. I had to sit down. It didn't even look like her anymore.
God I miss her. So much. She was the sister I never had.
*sigh*
Here are some pics from after the service.
R.I.P. Jessica. I love you SO much. And I know you're up there watching over me and your nephew. <3
Just a small group of people who were there...everyone else had started to leave by this point.
Doug and Chris saying goodbye one last time.
A husbands final farwell - Chris. <3
