Today has been a lazy day, Daddy has been off a rare two days and there has been lots of lap sitting and cuddling! Him and Momma went out once, but they brought back a glittering Santa hat so I can only assume they went out to tell Santa what a good kitty I have been this year! I've been spending my days laying on top the covers while the humans sleep because it's been a lot warmer here than normal the past two days. Only once did I curl under the blankets with Mommy because Daddy turned on the fan, much to both of are dismay.
Daddy went back to work tonight and it's been raining so much! Mommy told Daddy over the phone it was raining cat's and dogs, but I have peaked and it's is doing no such thing! Still though rainy time is my favorite time to sleep! I love to curl up on the DVR and listen to the rain. Occasionally a loud boom wakes me up but other than that it's a good excuse to be lazy. Because of that it's been a pretty lazy night around here, but we have had a visitor! A Christmas Mouse squeaking all sorts of nonsense in the Christmas Boxes from the attic! Mommy says I am not to eat this mouse, because the last one made me sick.. but we'll see about that! She has to sleep sometime. After all she is such a baby! She doesn't even want to use a trap to catch it. I've tried telling Mommy a hundred times she can't let one of those pests have it's run of the house, no matter how cute she thinks it is. She never listens.
She told me she understands she has to get rid of it, she just can't bring herself to harm it. What a NINNY! Daddy will agree with me, you just wait until he gets home.. Until then I think I'll nap most of the night. Gotta be wide awake tomorrow when the humans catch some sleep, if I am going to nab me a Christmas Mouse! I bet it escaped my stocking, but that's alright If I catch it before Christmas I can re-gift it! I don't so much like them when they are dead, but Momma will be so happy she'll faint.
