Despite having never been a real drinker, I've recently discovered several things I like and that I have a higher alcohol tolerance than I thought....and apparently don't get hangovers. I found this out because my friend Tyler just recently had his twenty first birthday and since I didn't work that night, he and my friend Cris came over and played Rock Band 2 all night with Lindsay and I. Over the course of the night, which got progressively louder and funnier (and somehow didn't wake up our new room mate), and a couple parties since, I found some things that I like:
Jim Beam Bourbon
Grey Goose Vodka
Stolichnaya Vodka
Auchentoshen Scotch
My friend Kevin insists that UV is decent, but the couple I tried tasted kinda like window cleaner.
Other than that, things are going....alright I guess. I'm doing well enough for now up here, looking at school this next semester and generally have few things to complain about. But those few things are kind of big.
I've made a few friends up here in the couple years I've been here, but only 2 really good friends. One of them is looking at moving to California pretty soon to pursue a career opportunity, and another is looking at an internship out there, and obviously it'll suck if they go because I feel like I just made these friends, and now they're getting ready to take off. If that's not enough, I've got one more. I've been trying to visit Lansing more often since I now have the means to, but I just recently found out that next week my friend Joe is moving to Texas next week. If you know me, then you probably know I've been extremely close friends with Joe since I was very young, and I didn't like being just one hour from my friends in Lansing, but now one of my best friend is packing it up and going something like 16 hours away. I'm not really good at dealing with change, and all these changes suck.
On the bright side though, things are getting easier financially right now since we have a room mate again (last one was an asshole, so now we have a new one) and we're looking at maybe finding a new place around the end of the summer.
Oh, and if you haven't, you really should look up "The I.T. Crowd" and watch it, that show is amazing.
