I hate not having enough money to keep this house toasty warm all the way through winter. Half the time it's 59F inside. I wish it was up about 20 degrees. Anyway, for something on another note, the last few days have been...eventful.
Sunday, I was bored in church so just started flipping through my Bible, when something funny caught my eye. I don't remember the reference, but it said something to the effect of, "I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that biscuit." I laughed quite a bit.
Monday, there was a bit of a small fight between Lindsay and I, and I think I can easily say that it was kind of very both of our faults, but that's been ironed out, more or less. I also got around to talking to my long-time friend and part-time bandmate Joe. He quit the band he's been working with for the last year called Burning The Night Sky. They were pretty good, but the lead singer has pretty much decided that it's not about music anymore, it's about him. So Joe quit. This weekend me, him, and some other guy he knows are gonna jam over here and see what we come up with. More about having fun with the music than seriously throwing a project together, but if something actually lifts off the ground, I won't complain. But it looks like it's back to the old Hollywood Witch style of playing. I don't mind in the least though, as we never actually finished the song, but I think we actually will this time. ^_^ If that's how it's going then I have to admit, a lot of my ideas are going to be influenced by a band called be your own PET. They have pretty much the best, most fun sound in garage/punk that I've heard since I the first time I heard Green Day's Insomniac.
Today's Tuesday. I have yet to decide what to do with it. I was up around 8am today and yes, I am very proud of myself, thank you. I've been pretty lazy about getting to bed and waking up since about 7th grade, and I've been trying to get on a legit sleep schedule since June. So maybe it's finally working. Speaking of working, there are several places I need to look into working at. Especially if I plan on jamming with those guys on a regular basis. I need to get my own bass and amp. I've used Joe's up til now, but I want my own. Anyway, off the music, I may be getting a job that, for quite some time, may be a seven day a week, 8 hour+ per day. That's a lot of over-time. Now if only I can get hired. Wish me luck ^_^
