So, I think hell just froze over.
My grandmother...(MY GRANDMOTHER!) just messaged me on yahoo IM. This is the woman I can't even seem to reach on the phone and rarely via email. I'm just amazed, really. She doesn't have a facebook...yet. But it's just unthought of! I've always been the one she DIDN'T keep in touch with...well at least since I turned eighteen lol
She said she finally stepped into the 21st century, and it's made me think. My other grandmother added me to facebook the other day. Chris' parents and family added him. I realize more and more older people are making facebooks and myspaces. Used to, myspace was for school kids and people in their 20s, as was facebook. Now, it's everyone. Older people really are getting into the nooks of cyberspace. What happened? I never thought I would see the day. |
